I got tired of trying to paint like Sargeant, so I leaned into the drawing instead and did a series of glazing layers. I really liked working like this and I think I'll return to this technique.

The local library system had an art competition of what reading means to you- I really liked this mini-composition from Rembrandt's The Astronomer, so I just wanted to have it for myself!

I did a series of hand gestures, and I think this turned out to be my favorite

This photo is awful, but I really loved the Neuschwanstein Castle in Schwangau, Germany. I wanted to have a big painting of it in the living room, and I also missed the christmas tree when we took it down, so I tried to incorporate it into the compos

This one was commissioned as a gift from a friend of mine, so some day I'll have to go visit and see it in person-
